I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, down the street from a horse farm. From an early age, I have loved to be around horses. Their physical beauty combined with their enormous power always makes me take notice.

When composing a photograph – equine or otherwise – I often look for the simplicity in it – whether it be rusting paint on a bike or the dirt of a jockey's boot. I want my images to evoke an emotional response.

Though I have traveled the world quite extensively taking photographs, much of my work reflects my love of things that reflect my home – Kentucky.
